The Board of Managers of the National Grain Supply Company – SABIL held its first meeting on June 23, 2025, chaired by Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Zughaibi, with the attendance of board members.
The meeting began with a speech by the Chairman, in which he emphasized the vital role of the company in supporting the sustainability of the grain sector in the Kingdom, as it is one of the key pillars of national food security. He noted that the transfer of responsibilities for managing grain silos and the strategic wheat reserves from the General Food Security Authority to SABIL reflects confidence in the company's capabilities and reinforces its central role in the national food security framework.
The Chairman also stressed the importance of operating under clear regulatory frameworks that enhance corporate governance and contribute to achieving the company's strategic objectives. The meeting included discussions on the company's budget, the formation of key committees, and the approval of key performance indicators (KPIs). The Board also reviewed the main future challenges facing the company and explored appropriate mechanisms to address them.
